3.60.010 Relief and pension system established—Board membership.

A firefighters’ relief and pension system is hereby declared to have been established and created for the city full-time, full-paid fire department as of March 1, 1969, and the firefighters’ pension board thereby created shall consist of the following five members, ex officio the mayor who shall be chairman of the board, the city manager, the director of finance and administration and in addition two members to be elected by secret ballot of the firefighters, at least one of which must be a regularly employed firefighter. 3.60.020 Relief and pension system—Administration and operation.

Except as provided in Section 3.60.010, the fireman’s relief and pension system shall be administered and operated under the provisions of and in compliance with the applicable laws of the state of Washington. (Ord. 2041 § 2, 1969)
