15.20.010 Compliance required.

Except as otherwise expressly provided by written contract with the city, all municipal public works within the boundaries of the city shall be constructed, improved and repaired in accordance with the “Standard Specifications for Municipal Public Works Construction,” 1975 Edition, prepared by the Washington State Chapter of American Public Works Association, as presently published. 15.20.020 Variations – Authority.

Variations from the Standard Specifications for Municipal Public Works adopted may be authorized by the superintendent of utilities of the city for reasons of improving the engineering standards. [Ord. 555 § 2, 1976.]

15.20.030 Applicability – Superintendent’s authority.

The superintendent of utilities of the city shall have the discretion to disapprove any of the specifications or materials permitted by the Standard Specifications for Municipal Public Works referenced in LMC 15.20.010 if, in his opinion, the use of any such specifications or materials in regard to a particular job or project would not be suitable, or would not meet with the highest standards of engineering and construction prevailing in the city. This chapter sets minimum standards only for municipal public works construction. [Ord. 555 § 3, 1976.]
