10.44.010 Skateboarding and bicycling on portions of Pioneer Way.

It is unlawful for any person to operate a skateboard or bicycle on the sidewalks along Pioneer Way between Midway Boulevard and 60th N.W. Street. (Ord. 775 § 1, 1987).

10.44.020 Negligent operation of skateboards prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to operate a skateboard in a negligent manner upon any roadway, sidewalk or publicly owned parking lot. For the purpose of this section, “to operate in a negligent manner” means the operation of a skateboard in such a manner as to endanger or be likely to endanger any persons or property. (Ord. 775 § 2, 1987).

10.44.040 Parent responsibility.

(1) It is unlawful for any parent, guardian or other person having control of a minor child to allow said minor to operate a skateboard in violation of this chapter.

(2) Should any juvenile be found to have violated the provisions of this chapter more than once, the parent, guardian or other person having control of said juvenile shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable as set out in OHMC 10.44.050. (Ord. 775 § 3, 1987).

10.44.050 Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by the imposition of a monetary penalty of not more than $250.00. Community service hours may be imposed in lieu of a monetary penalty. (Ord. 775 § 4, 1987).
