VEHICLE (NON-TRUCK) SPEED LIMITS

10.30.010 Speed limits—Non-truck vehicles.
Except where applicable law or regulation specifies a lower speed, no person shall operate a non-truck vehicle at a speed in excess of the speed limits established in this chapter. Speed limits for all non-truck vehicles are hereby established for the following city streets: Point Brown Avenue, Ocean Shores Boulevard, Duck Lake Drive, Chance a la Mer, Marine View Drive, Mount Olympus Avenue, Magellan Avenue, Gunderson Avenue, Mt. Saint Helens Loop, Wakina Loop, Chinook Avenue, Capt. Gray Court, Oyster Court, Harbor View Loop, Sunrise Avenue, Olympic Avenue and Pearsall Street, pursuant to Sections 10.30.020, 10.30.030, 10.30.040, 10.30.050, 10.30.060, 10.30.070, 10.30.080 and 10.30.090 as set forth herein. 10.30.020 Point Brown Avenue speed limits.
A. From the city of Ocean Shores entry south to Albatross Street, twenty-five miles per hour on both sides of Point Brown Avenue; and
B. From Albatross south to one-tenth of one mile north of Ocean Lake Way, thirty-five miles per hour on both sides of Point Brown Avenue; and
C. From one-tenth of one mile north of Ocean Lake Way south to one-tenth of one mile south of Ocean Lake Way, thirty miles per hour on both sides of Point Brown Avenue; and
D. From one-tenth of one mile south of Ocean Lake Way south to one-tenth of one mile north of the Point Brown Bridge, thirty-five miles per hour; and
E. From one-tenth of one mile north of the Point Brown Bridge to one-tenth of one mile south of the Point Brown Bridge, thirty miles per hour on both sides of Point Brown Avenue; and
F. From one-tenth of one mile south of the Point Brown Bridge south to Discovery Avenue, thirty-five miles per hour on both sides of Point Brown Avenue; and
G. From one-tenth of one mile north of Discovery Avenue to Discovery Avenue, thirty miles per hour on both sides of Point Brown Avenue.

10.30.030 Ocean Shores Boulevard speed limits.
A. From Point Brown Avenue N.W. south to Ensign, twenty-five miles per hour on both sides of Ocean Shores Boulevard; and
B. From Ensign south to East Ocean Shores Boulevard S.W., thirty-five miles per hour on both sides of Ocean Shores Boulevard.

10.30.040 Duck Lake Drive speed limits.

10.30.050 Chance a la Mer speed limits.
A. From the intersection of Chance a la Mer and Ocean Shores Boulevard east to Dolphin Avenue, twenty-five miles per hour on both sides of Chance a la Mer; and
B. From Dolphin Avenue southeast to Albatross, thirty miles per hour on both sides of Chance a la Mer.

10.30.060 Marine View Drive speed limits.
All of Marine View Drive, thirty miles per hour on both sides of Marine View Drive. (Ord. 863 § 1 (part), 2009: Ord. 770 § 1 (part), 2004)
10.30.070 Mount Olympus Avenue speed limits.
A. From Ocean Lake Way south to Eridani Loop S.E., twenty-five miles per hour on both sides of the street; and
B. From Eridani Loop S.E. south to Discovery Avenue, thirty miles per hour on both sides of the street.

10.30.080 Other listed street speed limits.
The speed limit of the following listed streets shall be twenty miles per hour on both sides of the street:
Magellan Avenue, Gunderson Avenue, Mt. Saint Helens Loop, Wakina Loop, Chinook Avenue, Capt. Gray Court, Oyster Court, Harbor View Loop, Sunrise Avenue, Olympic View Avenue and Pearsall Street. (Ord. 863 § 1 (part), 2009: Ord. 770 § 1 (part), 2004. Formerly 10.30.090)
10.30.090 Other city streets.
All other speed limits for non-truck vehicles on city streets shall be as set forth in Ocean Shores Municipal Code Chapter 10.04. (Ord. 863 § 1 (part), 2009: Ord. 770 § 1 (part), 2004. Formerly 10.30.100)
10.30.100 Violation—Penalty.
