10.20.010 State speed laws applicable.

The state traffic laws regulating speed of vehicles shall be applicable on all streets within this City, except as this chapter, as authorized by state law, hereby declares and determines upon the basis of engineering and traffic investigation that certain speed regulations shall be applicable upon specified streets or in certain areas, in which event it is unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of any speed so declared in this chapter when signs are in place giving notice thereof. 10.20.040 Decrease of State law maximum speed.

It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to operate the same inside the incorporated limits of the City on "E" Street Southwest at a speed in excess of the following: ten miles per hour on E Street Southwest, between a point three hundred eighty feet west of the centerline of Seventh Avenue Southwest, and a point one thousand two hundred ninety-five feet west of the centerline of Seventh Avenue Southwest. 10.20.050 Regulation of speed by traffic signals.

The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to regulate the timing of traffic signals so as to permit the movement of traffic in an orderly and safe manner. (Ord 19-538 §6; Ord 215 §31, 1952)

10.20.060 "F" Street.

It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to operate the same inside the incorporated limits of the City on State Route 28 ("F" Street) at a speed in excess of the following:

Fifty miles per hour from mile post 27.88 at the west corporate limits to mile post 28.88 at a point five hundred feet west of 10th Avenue SW at a distance of 1.00 mile.

Thirty-five miles per hour from mile post 28.88 at a point five hundred feet west of 10th Avenue SW to mile post 30.64 at the east corporate limits, a distance of 1.76 miles. (Ord 97-10 §1, 1997: Ord 96-08 §1, 1996: Ord 92-02 §1, 1992: Ord 632 §2, 1983: Ord 436 §1, 1972)

10.20.070 Central Avenue.

It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to operate the same inside the incorporated limits of the City on State Route 281 (Central Avenue) at a speed in excess of the following:

A. Sixty miles per hour from mile post 9.08 at the south corporate limits to mile post 9.74 at a point eight hundred forty-five feet south of Road 9 NW, a distance of 0.66 miles.

B. Fifty miles per hour from mile post 9.74 at a point eight hundred forty-five feet south of Road 9 NW to mile post 9.59 at a point fifty-three feet north of Road 9 NW, a distance of 0.15 miles.

C. Thirty-five miles per hour from mile post 9.77 at a point fifty-three feet south of Q Street SE to mile post 10.55 at the junction of SR 28 (F Street), a distance of 0.78 miles. (Ord 15-450 §1; Ord 97-10 §2; Ord 96-08 §2; Ord 92-02 §2; Ord 632 §3, 1983: Ord 436 §2, 1972)

10.20.080 "B" Street SW.

It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to operate the same inside the incorporated limits of the City on "B" Street SW between 8th Avenue SW and 13th Avenue SW in excess of fifteen miles per hour. (Ord 97-09 §1, 1997)
