No person shall operate a private detective agency within the City, or perform functions and duties as a private detective within the City, without first applying for and obtaining a business license and paying the fee therefor, as prescribed in this title, and, in addition, without being licensed pursuant to applicable State law. 5.20.020 Regulation of private security companies, private security guards and armed private security guards.
No person shall operate a private security company within the City, or perform functions and duties as a private security guard and armed private security guard within the City, without first applying for and obtaining a business license and paying the fee therefor, as prescribed in this title, and, in addition, without being licensed pursuant to applicable State law.
