ESTABLISHMENT OF COUNTY ROADS

11.04.010 Establishment of County roads— Authorized.

The Board of County Commissioners are hereby authorized to declare certain roads to be County roads based on R.C.W. 36.75.070, which provides that highways worked seven (7) years are County roads; and, additionally, pursuant to R.C.W. 36.75.080, which provided that highways used ten (10) years are County Roads. 11.04.020 County roads—Designated.

(1) Goldenrod Drive 3191 is established as a county road. (Ord. 7790, 1978)

(2) Minnie Road 5054 is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and is established as a county road, described as follows: Beginning at the Friday Creek Road 5021 in the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 18, Township 36, Range 4, East W.M., thence easterly 0.20 miles.

(3) Martin-Taylor Road 0605 is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and is established as a County Road, said road to be known as Taylor Road, described as follows: Beginning at the Gunderson Road 0600 in the Southwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4, of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 30, Township 34, Range 5, East W.M., thence Southeasterly 0.47 miles. (4) Goodhew Road 6521 is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a county road, described as follows: Beginning at the Hoogdal Road 6520 approximately 0.25 miles west of State Highway 9, thence North 0.28 miles, all in Section 1, Township 35, Range 4 E.W.M. (Ord. 8176, 1979)

(5) Shaw Road No. 2525, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Beginning at the Barrell Springs Road No. 9521, approximately .3 miles Southwest of the Alger-Lake Samish Road in the vicinity of the center of Section 12, Township 36 North, Range 3 East, W.M.; thence Northwesterly through the East 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 12; thence Northwesterly through the West 1/2 and ending at the North line of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 1, Township 36 North, Range 3, East W.M.; as described in Auditors Deed File. Nos. 873213, 850604, 844593, 823795, 798941, 795922, 729322, 661338, 607390, and Auditors’ Short Plat File No. 842767; being .72 miles in length with width as occupied and used. (Ord. 8487, 1980)

(6) Challenger Crossing Road No. 9623, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: That portion of the former right-of-way of State Highway Route 20, being a Railroad Crossing in the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 12, Township 35 North, Range 7 East W.M., and as further described in Auditors’ Deed File No. 8002110012; beginning at the North right-of-way line of State Highway 20, thence North across the Burlington Northern Railway right-of-way to the South line of the Challenger Road No. 9630 and being 100 feet in length and 100 feet in width. (7) Peavey Road No. 9351, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Beginning at the Minkler Road No. 9350, approximately 600 feet NE of the Burmaster Road/Minkler Road intersection, thence North on the West line and ending at the NW corner of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 17, Township 35 N, Range 5, East W.M.; and as described on the West line of and adjacent to lots 1 and 8, Tract No. 1, Plat of Peavey’s Acreage as recorded in volume 3, Page 37 of Plats; Auditor’s File No. 733157; being approximately .20 miles in length and 46 feet in width. (8) Lake Terrace Drive No. 7202, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Beginning at the Little Mountain Road No. 7200, approximately 900 feet West of West Big Lake Boulevard; thence West on the Centerline of Section 35, Township 34 North, Range 4, East W.M., and ending at the SW Corner of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 35, as recorded in Auditors’ Deed File Nos. 868909, 117238, 7905160053, 855459, 687272, and Short Plat File Nos. 895547 73-77 and 7911190061 95-79 and being approximately 450 feet in length and 50 feet in width. (9) Abbey Place No. 5050, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing at Old Highway 99 North No. 5051, approximately 300 feet North of the Lake Samish Road; thence Southwesterly approximately 400 feet and being 60 feet in width, as described in the Plat of Alger, recorded in Volume 4, Page 9 of Plats. (10) Arnold Lane No. 0875, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing at the Concrete Sauk Valley Road No. 0800, approximately .64 miles West of the Cedar Grove Road; thence North on the East line of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 15, Township 35 North, Range 8 East approximately 550 feet and being 40 feet in width as described by deed, Auditors’ File Number 103387. (11) Birch Lane No. 6350, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing on the East Jones Road at the Southwest corner of Section 13, Township 35 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence North on the West line of said Section 13, approximately 2,000 feet with width as occupied and used and as described in the Plat of Fredlund Addition, Volume 10, Page 35 of Plats and Short Plat No. 80-78, as recorded in Auditors’ File No. 890505. (12) Cully Lane No. 6349, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing at the Cully Road No. 6348 approximately .47 miles West of the Garden of Eden Road; thence North on the Centerline of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 11, Township 35 North, Range 4 East, W.M. as described in Deed Number 736899, Volume 43, Page 719 of Deeds, being approximately 1,320 feet in length and 60 feet in width. (13) Haddon Lane No. 1410, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing at “O” Avenue No. 1421, at the Northeast corner of Section 36, Township 35 North, Range 1 East, W.M.; thence West on the North line of said Section 36, approximately 1,000 feet; thence South on the East line of the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 36 approximately 500 feet to the end of the existing bituminous paving with width as occupied and used. (14) The portion of Helmick Road No. 9551, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: That portion of the Helmick Road No. 9551, beginning at the curve in the Helmick Road in the East 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Section 9, Township 35 North, Range 5 East, W.M., thence Southeasterly through the NE 1/4 to the East line of said Section 9; said portion of the Helmick Road being approximately .5 miles in length and 20 feet in width. (15) Lakeside Lane No. 8236, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing SSH No. 9 in the Plat of the Town of McMurray, thence Easterly 150 feet, thence Southerly 417.5 feet. Right-of-way described as follows: Beginning at a point on the South line of Section 25, Township 33 North, Range 4 East, W.M., said point intersecting original Centerline of the right-of-way of N.P. Sumas Branch RR at RR Sta. 3688 + 64.05; thence Northwesterly along a 1° 38′ curve to the right having a radius of 3,508.03 feet; a distance of 566.75 feet to the true point of beginning. Thence westerly 10 feet; thence Northwesterly 347.5 feet parallel to said centerline; thence Southwesterly 90 feet to East right-of-way of SSH No. 9; thence Northwesterly 70 feet along said SSH No. 9 right-of-way line. Thence Northeasterly 150 feet; thence Southeasterly 417.5 feet along formerly East right-of-way line of N.P. Sumas Branch RR. (16) Pipeline Lane No. 9324, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing on Pipeline Road No. 9325, approximately .32 miles North of SR 20; thence East in the South 1/2 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 8, Township 35 North, Range 6 East, W.M., as described in Statutory Warranty Deed No. 444258 and recorded in Volume 238 of Deeds, Page 679. Being approximately 425 feet in length and width as occupied and used. (Res. 8673, 1980)

(17) Sobek Lane No. 0873, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing on the Concrete Sauk Valley Road No. 0800, approximately .4 miles west of the Cedar Grove Road; thence North on the East line of the West 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 15, Township 35 North, Range 8 East, W.M. approximately 1,320 feet and being 40 feet in width; thence East on the North line of said East 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 approximately 660 feet and ending at the East line of said Section 15 and being 20 feet in width, all as described by deed, Auditor File Number 103387. Thence East on the North Line of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 14, Township 35 North, Range 8 East, W.M. approximately 100 feet with a width as occupied and used. (Res. 8670, 1980)

(18) Terrace Place No. 7203, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing at Lake Terrace Lane No. 7202, approximately 200 feet West of the Little Mountain Road, thence North approximately 550 feet and being 60 feet in width, as described in the Plat of Lake Terrace, recorded in Volume 12, Page 70 of Plats. (19) View Moor Drive No. 4222, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing at the Chilberg Road No. 4220, approximately 100 feet North of the Rexville-Grange Road; thence West as described in Kallstrom’s View Moore Plat recorded in Volume 8, Page 8 of Plats; and being approximately 600 feet long with a right-of-way width of 60 feet. (20) Milltown Crossing Road No. 8030, as described herein, is adopted into the Skagit County Road System and established as a County Road: Commencing at the intersection of the Milltown Road No. 8026 and State Route No. 530, on the North line of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 31, Township 33 North, Range 4 East, W.M., thence Westerly on the extended tangent of the Milltown Road to the West right-of-way line of State Route 530 and the true point of beginning, thence Westerly along said line across the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way and ending 100 feet West of the centerline of the Burlington Northern right-of-way; said Milltown Crossing Road being 60 feet in width.
