14.16.010 Explosive powders—Storage.

It shall be unlawful for any persons, firm, partnership, company or corporation to keep on hand, stored in any building within fifty rods of any other occupied building within the corporate limits of the town of Sumas any quantity of black blasting powder, gun powder, stumping powder or giant powder in excess of five hundred pounds. (Ord. 197 § 1, 1910)

14.16.020 Explosive liquid—Storage.

It shall be unlawful to keep stored in any building or shed within the corporate limits of the town of Sumas any quantity of naphtha, benzine or gasoline in excess of two hundred and thirty gallons. (Ord. 197 § 2, 1910)

14.16.030 Storage of nitroglycerine.

It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, partnership, firm, company or corporation to keep stored in any building within the corporate limits of the town of Sumas any quantity of nitroglycerine. (Ord. 197 § 3, 1910)

14.16.040 Transporting inflammable liquids.

It is unlawful to store or transport inflammable fluids in glass, porcelain, pottery or vitreous vessels within the corporate limits of the town of Sumas. (Ord. 596 § 1, 1961)

14.16.060 Fire limited to own property.

If any person shall set a fire, he shall do it at such time and in such manner and shall take care of it as to prevent it from spreading and doing damage to other person’s property, as a prudent and careful man would do. (Ord. 580 § 2, 1959)
