17.08.010 Zones established.

There are established zones in which the City is divided and which are designated as follows:

17.08.020 Establishment of zones by map.

The location and boundaries of the various zones are such as are shown and delineated on the zoning map of the City, and said map and all notations thereon and amendments thereto by ordinance are made a part of this chapter by reference. [Ord. 1272 § 17-2-2, 1980.]

17.08.030 Interpretation of zone boundaries.

Where exact boundaries of a zone cannot be readily or exactly ascertained by reference to the zoning map of the City, the boundaries shall be deemed to be along the nearest street or lot line, as the case may be. [Ord. 1272 § 17-2-3, 1980.]

17.08.040 Zone boundary change.

Changes in the boundaries of zones shall be made by ordinance in the manner provided in Chapter 17.76 SMC. Said ordinance describing the area to be changed shall either be by lot and block number or by metes and bounds. After adoption of any ordinance changing any boundaries of any zone, the City Clerk shall mark the zoning map of the City to show the number and date of the adoption of the ordinance making such change. Updated zoning maps shall be published as needed by the office of the City Clerk and made available to the public. [Ord. 1272 § 17-2-4, 1980.]

17.08.050 Appeals.

Any appeal from the decision of the City Council or any employee of the City, under the provisions of this title concerning zoning, shall be brought within 20 days of the effective date of that action or shall be forever barred. [Ord. 1312 § 1, 1981.]
