9.30.010 Nuisance declaration.

The practice of going in and upon private residences and residence property in the town of Twisp, Washington, by solicitors, peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants and transient vendors of merchandise, not having been requested or invited so to do in writing by the owner or owners, occupant or occupants of said private residence, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise and/or for the purpose of disposing of and/or peddling or hawking the same, is hereby declared to be a nuisance and punishable as such nuisance as a misdemeanor. 9.30.020 Suppression and abatement of nuisance.

The town marshal and police force of the town of Twisp, Washington, are hereby required and directed to suppress the same, and to abate any such nuisance as is described in TMC 9.30.010. (Ord. 113 § 2, 1953)

9.30.030 Violation – Penalty.

Any person convicted of perpetrating a nuisance as described and prohibited in TMC 9.30.010, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined a sum of not less than $5.00, together with costs of proceedings, or by imprisonment of not to exceed 30 days. (Ord. 113 § 4, 1953)
