12.20.010 Excavation within the proximity of any sewer and/or water lines.

It shall be unlawful for any person to perform, or cause to be performed, any digging and/or excavation within the proximity of any sewer and/or water lines of the town of Twisp without first giving notice of intention to so dig or excavate to the office of the city clerk or water superintendent of said town at least 24 hours in advance of commencement of such digging or excavation. (Ord. 253 § 1, 1980)

12.20.020 Excavation notice contents.

The notice required to be given in TMC 12.20.010 shall include notice of the approximate location of such intended digging or excavation, the maximum depth of such digging and/or excavation, the name of the owner or owners of the property upon which the digging and/or excavation is to be done, and the date of commencement of such digging and/or excavation. 12.20.030 Definition.

The term “proximity” as used in TMC 12.20.010 shall mean within 20 linear feet on each side of the center line of any water and/or sewer line of the town of Twisp. (Ord. 253 § 3, 1980)

12.20.040 Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not less than $100.00. (Ord. 253 § 4, 1980)
