ACCEPTANCE BY TOWN OF DONATIONS, DEVICES AND BEQUESTS

3.20.010 Acceptance by town of donations, devises and bequests.

The town, by and through its appropriate officers, is authorized to accept and receive on behalf of the town any and all money or property donated, devised or bequeathed to the town, and, in the event of the acceptance by the town of such donation, devise or bequest, to carry out the terms of such donation, devise or bequest, if within the powers granted to cities or towns by the laws of the state, or, in the absence of such terms, to expend or use the same for such municipal purposes as shall from time to time be determined by the town council of the town.  (Ord.
