FIRE CAPITAL FUND

3.66.010 Fund created—Purpose.

There is created a special fund to be known as the fire capital fund. The moneys in said fund shall be used to acquire firefighting and fire training equipment and facilities, including real property, for the city of Yakima fire department. (Ord. 623 § 2, 1965).

3.66.020 Source of funds.

All money derived from the special property tax levy approved by the electorate of the city of Yakima at the election held on November 3, 1964, pursuant to Ordinance No. 563 of the city of Yakima, passed on September 14, 1964, by the Yakima city council, shall be placed into the fire capital fund. Money from other funds of the city of Yakima may also be placed into the fire capital fund, from time to time, by the Yakima city council, pursuant to and in accordance with the applicable laws. (Ord. 623 § 3, 1965).

3.66.030 Expenditures.

Expenditures from the fire capital fund shall be made only for the purposes specified in Section 3.66.010. No expenditure shall be made from such fund unless the Yakima city council shall approve such expenditure by passing an ordinance appropriating money within the fund for the purpose of which the expenditure is to be made, or by including an appropriation for such purpose in the budget.
