PERSONNEL COMMITTEE

2.34.010 Established.
A personnel committee is hereby established to consist of up to two councilmembers and one resident that has present or past human resources experience. This resident may be a councilmember. The mayor will attend when requested or necessary. (Ord. 773 § 2 (Exh. A), 2025)
2.34.020 Purpose.
The purpose of the personnel committee is to make recommendations to the town council on those matters relating to personnel policies and practices, compensation, organizational structure, and job descriptions for all employees and the mayor position. The personnel committee may also provide input on the annual performance review process of the mayor, including compensation recommendations, and offer input to the council on any other human resource matters.
Other duties may be assigned by action of the town council. The committee shall have no authority to bind the town but shall bring all recommendations to the council for decision. (Ord. 773 § 2 (Exh. A), 2025)
2.34.030 Meetings.
The personnel committee will meet on an ad hoc basis, with meeting results reported to the council in a timely manner. (Ord. 773 § 2 (Exh. A), 2025)
