ACCIDENTS AND ENFORCEMENT

11.04.010 Filing false information and concealment of pertinent facts.

It is a violation of this title for any master, owner, operator or other occupants of any vessel or watercraft involved in a reportable accident under the provisions of this title or involved in any violation of this title to willfully and knowingly file false information with and/or conceal pertinent facts to the accident or violation from the persons duly authorized to investigate the accident or violation. This section shall constitute a separate violation and shall not preclude prosecution for the original violation or accident. A violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor. (Ord. 507 § 1, 2001)

11.04.020 Release from arrest on notice to appear.

Whenever any person is arrested for any violation of this title, the arresting officer may serve upon him a citation and notice to appear in court. Upon the arrested person’s failing or refusing to sign an acknowledgment of receipt of citation, he/she may be taken into the custody of such arresting officer and so remain or be placed in confinement. The failure to sign an acknowledgment of receipt of citation shall constitute a misdemeanor. (Ord. 507 § 1, 2001)

11.04.030 Aiding and abetting violation.

It is unlawful to counsel, aid or abet the violation of, or failure to comply with, any of the provisions of this title. (Ord. 507 § 1, 2001)
