DRUG ABUSE RESISTANCE EDUCATION (DARE) FUND

3.72.020    Purpose.

3.72.010 Fund created.

A. There is created within the city a fund to be known as the drug abuse resistance education fund (fund No. 002). There shall be deposited in said fund all moneys received from public or private sources for the purpose set forth in YMC 3.72.020. The city clerk/treasurer is hereby directed to transfer $1,663 from the current fund (fund No. 001) to the DARE fund. (Ord. 438 § 1, 1992).

3.72.020 Purpose.

Moneys within the drug abuse resistance education fund shall be used exclusively for the following purposes:

A. Drug education literature;

B. DARE folders and paraphernalia used in classrooms;

C. Appropriate films, slides, videotapes and recordings;

D. Salary and benefits for officers teaching the DARE program, prorated by their participation in the program;

E. Operating expenses and capital outlay costs necessary to administer the program. (Ord. 438 § 2, 1992).
