12.16.010 Parks defined.

The term “parks” is construed and deemed to include all parks, parkways, and park driveways, and such streets, roads, and boulevards as the city council may at any time designate as being and constituting parks, parkways and park driveways in the city. (Ord. 90 § 3, 1923)

12.16.020 Injury to trees or shrubs prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to cut down, destroy, or injure any wood, timber, grass, or which has been cut down and is lying within any park in the city, or to cut down, girdle, or otherwise injure any fruit, shade, or ornamental tree standing within any park within the city. (Ord. 90 § 5, 1923)

12.16.030 Control of animals required.

It is unlawful for any person who, being the owner or having the care or control of any dog, horse, mule, cow, or other animal to knowingly permit the same to enter upon and do injury to any park or any of the grass, trees, or shrubbery or improvements standing thereon. (Ord. 90 § 6, 1923)

12.16.040 Deposit of rubbish prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to unload, discharge, deposit, or put upon any park of the city any manure, offal, garbage or other offensive substances, or any bottles, tin cans, or other rubbish of any kind or nature whatsoever. (Ord. 90 § 7, 1923)

12.16.050 Violation – Penalty.

Any person who shall violate any of the rules and regulations of the park board, or who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $100.00, or by imprisonment in the city jail not to exceed 30 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
