5.12.010 License required.

No person shall display, sell, or offer for sale, Christmas trees in the city without securing a license from the city clerk. (Prior code § 12.14(1))

5.12.020 Applications—Licensee.

Applications shall be made on forms provided by the clerk and shall contain the applicant’s name, address, type of business organization, the location for which the license is sought, the applicant’s personal agreement to remove all trees by January 1st, and such other information as the license committee shall from time to time require. The fee for such license shall be as prescribed by Section 3.24.050(H), except that in the case of nonprofit organizations, the license fee shall be refunded after January 1st of the next year provided all trees of such organizations have been removed. 5.12.030 Prohibited in a residential district.

No Christmas tree sale license shall be issued for a site located in a residential district. (Prior code § 12.14(3))

5.12.040 License period—Removal of trees.

The license period shall be from November 25th until December 25th. All trees shall be removed by January 1st and the person signing the application shall be personally responsible for such removal. (Prior code § 12.14(4))

5.12.050 Penalty for violation of this chapter.

Any person, firm, partnership, or corporation who violates any part of this chapter shall be subject to the penalty and enforcement provisions in Chapter 1.12. (Ord. 2552-19 § 12, 2019)
