10.04.010 Forty-five miles per hour.

A prima facie speed limit of forty-five miles per hour is hereby declared to be most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and to be reasonable and safe upon the following streets and portions of streets in the city of Cerritos:

(1) Marquardt Avenue, from Southern Pacific Railroad to 183rd Street;

(2) Studebaker Road, from 195th Street to Del Amo Boulevard;

(3) Artesia Boulevard, from Shoemaker Avenue to Valley View Avenue;

(4) Valley View Avenue;

(5) Shoemaker Avenue, two hundred feet south of Alondra Boulevard to 166th Street;

(6) Carmenita Road, from Alondra Boulevard to 183rd Street;

(7) South Street, from Carmenita Road to Coyote Creek Bridge. 10.04.020 Forty miles per hour.

A prima facie speed limit of forty miles per hour is hereby declared to be most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and to be reasonable and safe upon the following streets and portions of streets in the city of Cerritos:

(1) Artesia Boulevard, from Palo Verde to Shoemaker Avenue;

(2) Norwalk Boulevard;

(3) Bloomfield Avenue;

(4) Gridley Road, from Artesia Boulevard to 183rd Street;

(5) Del Amo Boulevard;

(6) Pioneer Boulevard, from three hundred feet north of South Street to three hundred seventy-five feet north of Eberle Street;

(7) 183rd Street, from Palo Verde to Gridley Road and from Bloomfield Avenue to Marquardt Avenue;

(8) Carmenita Road, from 183rd Street to one thousand nine hundred fifty feet south of South Street;

(9) South Street, from the San Gabriel River to Studebaker Road and from Gridley Road to Carmenita Road;

(10) Marquardt Avenue, from 183rd Street to Coyote Creek;

(11) Studebaker Road, from Alondra Boulevard to 195th Street;

(12) Shoemaker Avenue, from 166th Street to 195th Street;

(13) Palo Verde Avenue, from Artesia Boulevard to South Street;

(14) 166th Street, from Studebaker Avenue to Marquardt Avenue;

(15) 195th Street. 10.04.030 Thirty-five miles per hour.

A prima facie speed limit of thirty-five miles per hour is hereby declared to be the most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and to be reasonable and safe upon the following streets and portions of the streets in the city of Cerritos:

(1) 183rd Street, from Cortner Avenue to Bloomfield Avenue and from one thousand five hundred feet west of Valley View Avenue to Valley View Avenue;

(2) 166th Street, from Marquardt Avenue to Edwards Road;

(3) Dumont Avenue;

(4) Edwards Road, from 166th Street to Artesia Boulevard;

(5) Gridley Road, from 166th Street to Artesia Boulevard and from 183rd Street to 195th Street;

(6) Piuma Avenue, from Alondra Boulevard to Golf Course;

(7) Deleted by Ord. 863;

(8) South Street, from Studebaker Road to Gridley Road. 10.04.040 Thirty miles per hour.

A prima facie speed limit of thirty miles per hour is hereby declared to be the most appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of traffic and to be reasonable and safe upon the following streets and portions of the streets in the city of Cerritos:

(1) Towne Center Drive, from Bloomfield Avenue to 183rd Street;

10.04.060 When effective.

The prima facie speed limits provided for in Sections 10.04.010 through 10.04.040 above shall be effective when appropriate signs giving notice thereof are erected upon those streets. (Ord. 64 § 4, 1959)
