10.20.010 Loading zones designated.

The following described parking areas on the public streets of the town are designated as loading zones for loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles transporting goods, wares, merchandise and commodities, to or from the commercial and retail business establishments in the town:

A. Loading Zone A. An area seventy-five (75) feet in length, east to west, and ten (10) feet in width, north to south, located on the northerly side of Bridge Street and commencing eight feet westerly of the most northwesterly corner of the intersection of Bridge Street and Riverside Avenue, said seventy-five (75) feet to be measured on and along the exterior edge of the sidewalk located on the northerly side of Bridge Street;

B. Loading Zone B. An area sixty (60) feet in length measured south to north and eighteen (18) feet in width on the east side of Riverside Avenue, said sixty (60) foot measurement to commence thirteen (13) feet north of a line drawn from the fire hydrant located on the east side of Riverside Avenue in front of the Trails End perpendicular to the centerline of Riverside Avenue;

C. Loading Zone C. An area sixty (60) feet in length measured north to south and ten (10) feet in width on the east side of Riverside Avenue, said sixty (60) foot measurement to commence seventeen (17) feet south of a line drawn from the fire hydrant located on the west side of Riverside Avenue in front of Winthrop Mountain Sports perpendicular to the easterly right-of-way line of Riverside Avenue. 10.20.020 Signposting.

Loading zones A, B, C and D described in Section 10.20.010 shall be clearly marked and signs posted designating said areas to be loading zones. At the discretion of the town marshal, said areas shall also be designated and posted as “Tow Away Zones.” (Ord. 437 § 2, 1994)

10.20.030 Use restrictions.

Except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, the loading zones designated in Section 10.20.010 shall be used for the sole and exclusive purpose of parking trucks and vehicles transporting or carrying goods, wares and merchandise to and from retail and business establishments in the town, and such use and parking shall be limited to the periods required for actual loading and unloading of the trucks and vehicles so transporting and carrying goods, wares and merchandise as herein provided. The hours for use of said loading zones for the purposes herein authorized shall be as follows:

A. Loading zone A: from six a.m. until twelve p.m.;

B. Loading zone B: from six a.m. until twelve p.m.;

C. Loading zone C: from six a.m. until twelve p.m.;

D. Loading zone D: from six a.m. until twelve p.m. (Ord. 437 § 3, 1994)

10.20.040 Violation—Penalty.

Parking of a motor vehicle within the designated loading zones, or use of said loading zones by trucks and delivery vehicles except during the hours herein provided, shall be a civil infraction. Civil infractions under this chapter shall be assessed a civil penalty of not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00). (Ord. 437 § 6, 1994)
