2.20.010 Bond required.

The following named officers, assistants and employees of the city shall, before assuming the duties of their respective offices, give a bond executed by some responsible surety company authorized to do business in the state, as surety thereon, conditioned upon the faithful discharge of their official duties and the proper accounting for all monies received or disbursed by them in the performance of such duties in the following amounts:

Treasurer

Water superintendent

2.20.020 Approval.

The bonds herein provided shall be approved by the city council as to their sufficiency and by the city attorney as to form of execution, and after such approval filed with the city clerk/treasurer; provided, that the bond of the city clerk/treasurer shall be filed with the mayor. (Ord. 221 § 2, 1949)

2.20.030 Payment of premiums.

The premium of the bond of the treasurer shall be paid in equal proportions from the current expense fund, water fund, garbage fund and cemetery fund; the premium for the bond of the city clerk shall be paid two-fifths from the current expense fund and one-fifth each from the water, garbage, and cemetery funds; the premium for the bond of the municipal judge shall be paid from the current expense fund; the premium for the bond of the sexton shall be paid from the cemetery fund; the premium for the bond of the water superintendent shall be paid from the water fund; the premium for the bond of the police chief shall be paid from the current expense fund.
