5.28.010 Uninvited solicitation prohibited.

The practice of being in and upon private residences within the corporate limits of the city, by solicitors, hawkers or peddlers, not having been requested or invited so to do by the owner or owners, occupant or occupants of said private residences, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares and merchandise, and/or for the purpose of disposing of and/or peddling, or hawking the same, is declared to be a nuisance, and is punishable under ZMC 5.28.020. 5.28.020 Violation – Penalty.

Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof, shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $100.00 or by imprisonment in the city jail for a period not exceeding 30 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
