ELECTRICAL PERMIT: Amended Ord. 1755

11-7.1 Annual Permit In Lieu Of Individual Permit; Persons Eligible For Annual Permit: Amended Ord. 1755

In lieu of an individual permit required by this section for each installation or alteration, an annual permit shall, upon application therefor, be issued to any person regularly employing one or more electricians for the installation, alteration and maintenance of electrical equipment in or on buildings or premises owned or occupied by the applicant for the permit. (Code 1972 §11-29)

11-7.2 Application For Annual Permit: Amended Ord. 1755

The application for an annual permit authorized by this section shall be made in writing to the building official and shall contain a description of the premises on which the work is to be done under the permit. (Code 1972 §11-30)

11-7.3 Monthly Report Of Work Performed Under An Annual Permit: Amended Ord. 1755

Within not more than fifteen (15) days following the end of each calendar month, the person to which an annual permit has been issued pursuant to this section shall transmit to the building official a report of all electrical work which has been done under the annual permit during the preceding month. (Code 1972 §11-31)

11-7.4 Record Of Installations Made Under An Annual Permit: Amended Ord. 1755

The person to whom an annual permit is issued pursuant to this section shall keep a record of all electrical equipment installed under the permit and the building official shall have access to such records. (Code 1972 §11-32)

11-7.5 Expiration Date Of Annual Permit: Amended Ord. 1755

Each annual permit issued pursuant to this section shall expire on June 30next following its issuance. (Code 1972 §11-33)

11-7.6 Fees: Amended Ord. 1755

a.    Generally: Before any permit is granted pursuant to this section for the installation or alteration of the electrical equipment, the person making the application for the permit shall pay a fee in the amount as specified below:

b.    Plan Check Fee: When a plan check is necessary and electrical plans are submitted for checking, a plan check fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of the permit fee may be charged.

c.    Annual Permit Fee: A fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) shall be paid for each annual permit issued pursuant to this section at the time when the permit is issued. Fees for all new work installed under such a permit since the date of the last previous inspection shall be paid according to the schedule in subsections 11-7.6a and b of this section at the time when the work is inspected; these fees shall be in addition to the fee paid at the time when the annual permit is issued.

d.    Additional Fee For Improper Procedure: Upon failure to make application and take out a permit required by this section by the second workday after commencing work, permit and inspection fees shall be twice their regular amount. (Code 1972 §11-34)
