18.28.010 District intent.

The AG (agricultural) district is intended to be used as follows:

(A) Use Type and Intensity.

(1) Low to moderate intensity agricultural activities.

(B) Application of District.

(1) Existing agricultural areas.

(2) Land within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Angola.

(3) Holding district immediately after annexation.

(C) Development Standards.

(1) Provide standards that allow common agricultural practices.

(D) Appropriate adjacent districts: PR, AG, AC, ER, R1, R2, R4, R5, LR, MH, UV, IS, C1, C2, HC, I1, I2, I3, and HI. [Ord. 1746-2023; Ord. 1352-2010; Ord. 1286-2008. UDO § 2.03.]

18.28.020 Permitted uses.

The following uses are considered permitted in the agricultural (AG) district:

(A) Accessory dwelling unit.

(B) Agricultural crop production.

(C) Agricultural tourism.

(D) Child care home.

(E) Dwelling, single-family detached.

(F) Fair housing facility (small).

(G) Farmers’ market.

(H) Hobby farming.

(I) Home business, type 1.

(J) Home business, type 2.

(K) Home business, type 3.

(L) Orchard.

(M) Plant nursery.

(N) Raising of farm animals.

(O) Roadside sales.

(P) Stable, private.

(Q) Storage of agricultural products.

(R) Tree farm.

(S) Vineyard.

(T) Wind turbine system, large.

18.28.030 Special exception uses.

The following uses are considered a special exception in the agricultural (AG) district:

(A) Automobile gas station.

(B) Bed and breakfast.

(C) Campground.

(D) Cemetery or mausoleum.

(E) Confined feeding operation (small).

(F) Kennel.

(G) Places of worship.

(H) Police, fire or rescue station.

(I) Raising of exotic animals.

(J) Shooting range.

(K) Stable, commercial.

(L) Telecommunication facility.

18.28.040 Development standards.

(A) Minimum lot area: five acres.

(B) Minimum lot width: 120 feet.

(C) Sanitary sewer utility: required where available.

(D) Water utility: required where available.

(E) Minimum front yard setback: 60 feet for primary and accessory structures.

(F) Minimum side yard setback: 30 feet for primary and accessory structures.

(G) Minimum rear yard setback: 30 feet for primary structures; 15 feet for accessory structures.

(H) Maximum lot coverage: 35 percent of lot area.

(I) Minimum main floor area: not applicable.

(J) Minimum dwelling unit size: 1,000 square feet.

(K) Maximum primary structures: one.

18.28.050 Additional development standards.

(E) Environmental: AMC 18.160.130.

(F) Fence and wall: AMC 18.160.140 and 18.160.160.

(G) Floodplain: Chapter 15.20 AMC.

(H) Floor area: AMC 18.160.200.

(I) Height: AMC 18.160.210.
