2.35.010 Health officer.

The council shall at its first regular meeting in the January after every general election appoint a city health officer who shall possess the qualifications required by state law for city and county health officers. The city health officer shall hold office for a term of two years or until his successor is appointed and qualified, and shall be subject to removal for the same reasons and in the same manner as provided by state law for the removal of city and county health officers. The health officer shall perform such duties as are required by state law and city ordinances. [Ord. 589 § 4, 1972; Ord. 213 § 18b, 1939.]
