17.34.010 Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to allow for pedestrian-oriented commercial development. (Ord. C-675 § 405, 2008)

17.34.020 Areas where permitted.

The SR-2 corridor overlay encompasses the general commercial zoning as identified on the Comprehensive Plan map – it excludes tribal land and the Village Square overlay. (Ord. C-675 § 406, 2008)

17.34.030 Prohibited uses.

Any use not listed under the permitted uses in the underlying zone or accessory uses is prohibited in an overlay district unless authorized in the zoning matrix. (Ord. C-675 § 407, 2008)

17.34.040 Conditional use criteria.

The following criteria shall be met for conditionally allowed uses in the district:

A. The proposed use shall support the goals, policies and objectives of the Airway Heights Comprehensive Plan.

B. The proposed use shall promote a pedestrian orientation – uses that promote walkability through either services and products available or location and layout of structures that promote easy pedestrian access. (Ord. C-675 § 408, 2008)

17.34.050 Parking standards.

A minimum of three parking spaces is required. (Ord. C-675 § 409, 2008)

17.34.060 Sign standards.

No pole signs are permitted. (Ord. C-675 § 410, 2008)
