12.24.010 Erection.

From and after April 17, 1926, it shall be lawful for any person engaged in the business of selling gasoline, at retail, to erect and maintain, in the manner provided in DMC 12.24.020 through 12.24.030, gasoline pumps on the sidewalks within the corporate limits of the city. (Ord. 244 § 1, 1926).

12.24.020 Placement.

Gasoline pumps erected under authority of DMC 12.24.010 shall be erected upon the extreme outer edge of street edge of the sidewalk, and shall not extend upon or over the sidewalk toward the property line in excess of two feet. (Ord. 244 § 2, 1926).

12.24.030 Consent of owner – Permit.

No gasoline pump shall be erected upon any sidewalk, fronting any lot, building or place of business, except with the consent of the owner or person lawfully in possession of such lot, building or place of business until permit is obtained from council. (Ord. 244 § 3, 1926).

12.24.040 Chapter application.

This chapter shall not authorize the erection or establishment upon the sidewalks of any structure or obstruction other than gasoline pumps erected for the purpose of dispensing gasoline at retail. (Ord. 244 § 4, 1926).
