2.25.010 Benefits for all city elected officials and employees.

All elected officials and employees on salary and wages of the city of Entiat shall receive the following employee benefits from the city, in addition to any stipends, wages or expenses paid: employer contribution to Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, according to the job classification determined by that department for each individual’s position with the city, based on hours worked. 2.25.020 Benefits for elected officials and paid employees.

All elected officials and paid employees of the city of Entiat shall receive, in addition to the benefits named in EMC 2.25.010, the following employee benefits from the city, in addition to any stipends, wages or expenses paid:

(1) Employer contribution to Federal Social Security Tax (also known as FICA);

(2) Washington State Unemployment Compensation Insurance. Elected officials have voted to be exempt from this insurance. (Ord. 634, 2005; Ord. 412 § 3, 1992)

2.25.030 Benefits for all permanent employees of the city.

All paid employees of the city of Entiat employed in permanent positions (a “permanent position” is a position of duration of six months or longer) shall receive, in addition to the benefits named in EMC 2.25.010 and 2.25.020, the following employee benefits from the city, in addition to any wages or expenses paid: employer contribution to Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS), according to system rates and based on employee’s gross pay. 2.25.040 Benefits for full-time, permanent employees of the city.

Full-time, permanent employees of the city of Entiat shall receive in addition to those benefits named in EMC 2.25.010, 2.25.020 and 2.25.030, and in addition to any salary, wages or expenses paid, basic medical, dental, vision and life insurance. Maximum coverage paid by the city for employees, his/her dependents, shall be set forth annually by the city council. Any costs for health benefits over the amount set by the city council shall be paid by the employees. (Ord. 634, 2005; Ord. 412 § 5, 1992)

2.25.050 Exclusions from benefits.

Professionals, such as attorneys, doctors, engineers or consultants, paid by the city of Entiat on a retainer basis are not eligible for any of the benefit programs listed in this chapter. (Ord. 412 § 6, 1992)
