2.76.010 Adoption.

The City of Kent Policies and Procedures Manual, hereafter in this chapter called the manual, adopted by Resolution 658 of the city and amended by the supplement promulgated October 14, 1971, together with all revisions thereof, is hereby adopted as the official policies and procedures manual of the city.

2.76.020 Revision.

The policies and procedures manual is intended to be a flexible document, to serve as a guide to city personnel in the operation of the city’s business. It is understood that the manual will necessarily require revision and updating from time to time in order to remain effective in assisting city personnel in answering daily operating questions and in making routine management decisions. Changes and revisions in the manual shall be made as required and approved by the mayor subject to notification to the city council.

2.76.030 Priority.

To the extent that any of the policies or procedures in the manual adopted in KCC 2.76.010 are inconsistent with ordinances of the city adopted prior to Ordinance 1784 adopted on August 21, 1972, the manual shall prevail.
