2.24.010 Officers’ bonds.

Any officer, before entering upon the performance of his duties and after taking his oath or affirmation as prescribed for the faithful performance of his duties, shall furnish an official bond, renewable annually, conditioned on the honest and faithful performance of his official duties, in the penal sum of one thousand dollars, written by a good and sufficient surety; except, that the city finance director shall file the bond in the sum of three thousand dollars. 2.24.020 Approval of bonds.

All official bonds shall be approved by the chief administrative officer of the city, and compliance with the provisions of Section 2.24.010 shall be an essential part of qualification for office. (Ord. 263 § 2, 1976)
