2.14.010 Designated.

The offices of city clerk, chief of police, fire chief, public works director, city administrator/treasurer, city attorney and municipal court judge shall henceforth be appointive. (Ord. 1824 § 1 (part), 2016: Ord. 639 § 1, 1972).

2.14.020 Authority.

In accordance with RCW 35A.12.020 and 35A.12.090 the mayor shall henceforth appoint a city clerk, chief of police, fire chief, a public works director, a city administrator/treasurer, a city attorney, and pursuant to RCW 3.50.040 a municipal court judge and all of the above appointments shall be subject to confirmation by a majority vote of the city council. 2.14.030 City clerk.

The city clerk shall exercise all the powers vested in and perform all the duties required to be performed by the city clerk as detailed in RCW 35A.21.030 and 35A.42.040, all duties specifically enumerated in the various sections of the Omak Municipal Code requiring action by the city clerk and the approved job description for the position. 2.14.040 Chief of police.

The chief of police shall exercise all the powers vested in and perform all duties required to be performed by the chief of police as detailed in RCW 35A.21.030, Chapter 2.42 and the approved job description for the position. (Ord. 1824 § 1 (part), 2016).

2.14.050 Fire chief.

The fire chief shall exercise all powers vested in and perform all duties required to be performed by the fire chief as detailed in RCW 35A.21.030, Chapter 2.44 and the approved job description for the position. (Ord. 1824 § 1 (part), 2016).

2.14.060 Public works director.

The public works director shall exercise all powers and perform all duties required to be performed by the public works director as detailed in RCW 35A.21.030, all duties specifically enumerated in the various sections of the Omak Municipal Code requiring action by the public works director and the approved job description for the position. (Ord. 1824 § 1 (part), 2016).

2.14.070 City administrator/treasurer.

The city administrator/treasurer shall exercise all the powers vested in and perform all the duties required to be performed by the treasurer and as detailed in RCW 35A.21.030 and 35A.42.010, all duties specifically enumerated in the various sections of the Omak Municipal Code requiring action by the city administrator and shall exercise all powers and duties delegated by the mayor, and enumerated in the approved job description for the position. 2.14.080 City attorney.

The city attorney shall exercise all the powers vested in and perform all duties required to be performed by the city attorney as detailed in RCW 35A.21.030 and all duties specifically enumerated in the various sections of the Omak Municipal Code requiring action by the city attorney. 2.14.090 Municipal court judge.

The municipal court judge shall exercise all powers vested in and perform all duties required to be performed by the municipal court judge as detailed in RCW 35A.21.030 and Chapter 3.50 RCW. (Ord. 1824 § 1 (part), 2016).

2.14.100 References.

Any reference to clerk/treasurer in city ordinances shall mean henceforth city clerk. (Ord. 1824 § 1 (part), 2016: Ord. 1590 § 5, 2007. Formerly 2.14.050).
