PROHIBITED WASTES

13.43.010 Certain wastes prohibited.

It is unlawful to discharge, cause to be discharged, or allow to be discharged any of the following described wastes to the sewer. (Ord. 1263 § 9 (part), 1999)

13.43.020 Flammable or explosive waste.

Any liquid, solid or gaseous waste which by itself or in combination with another substance is capable of causing or contributing to an explosion, or supporting combustion in any sewer or sewage facility. Such prohibited wastes include, but are not limited to, gasoline, kerosene, naphtha, benzene, toluene, ethers, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, peroxides, chloranes, perchlorates, bromates, carbides, hydrides, sulfides, propane, diesel, fuel oil, waste crankcase oil and sludge resulting from the manufacture of acetylene. 13.43.030 Waste causing obstruction or interference.

Any solid or viscous waste other than domestic waste which by itself or in combination with another substance is capable of obstructing the flow of or interfering with the operation or performance of any sewer or sewage facility, including, but not limited to: earth; sand; gardening or agricultural wastes; ash; chemicals; metal; glass; tar, asphalt and creosote; plastic; hair; rags; wood; waste portions of animals, fish, fowl or vegetable matter; solidified fat and baking dough; paper; and brewery waste. 13.43.040 Odorous waste.

Any waste, other than domestic waste, which by itself or in combination with another substance is capable of creating an odor or air contaminant, which is a public nuisance or hazard to life. (Ord. 1263 § 9 (part), 1999)

13.43.050 High temperature creating waste.

Any waste which, by itself or in combination with another substance, will create heat in amounts which will interfere with the operation and maintenance of the sew age facility, and which is defined in this section as any nondomestic waste having or creating a temperature upon discharge of sixty-five degrees Celsius (one hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit) or more. 13.43.060 Corrosive waste.

Any waste with corrosive properties which, by itself, or in combination with any other substance, may cause damage to the sewage facility. (Ord. 1263 § 9 (part), 1999)

13.43.070 Radioactive waste.

Any radioactive wastes or isotopes of such half-life or concentration that they do not comply with regulations or orders issued by the United States Atomic Energy Commission or the Atomic Energy Control Board of Canada from time to time. (Ord. 1263 § 9 (part), 1999)

13.43.080 Infectious waste.

Any waste containing infectious material which, by itself or in combination with any other substance, may create a contaminant in a sewer or sewage facility. (Ord. 1263 § 9 (part), 1999)

13.43.090 Trucked waste.
