OFFICERS' BONDS

2.16.010 Bond for clerk-treasurer.

The town clerk-treasurer, before entering upon the duties of office, shall execute a bond to the town in the penal sum of ten thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful performance of his duties; the bond shall be approved by the council and filed with the mayor. (Ord. 165-B §l, 1985)

2.16.020 Bond for marshal.

The town marshal, before entering upon the duties of his office, shall execute a bond to the town in the penal sum of one thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful performance of his duties. The bond shall be approved by the council and filed with the town clerk. (Ord. 165-B §2, 1985)

2.16.030 Oath of office.

Every officer of the town, before entering upon the duties of his office shall take and file with the town clerk, the following oath of office:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the constitution of the United States, and the constitution of the State of Washington, and will faithfully discharge the duties of Town - - of the Town of Wilbur, to the best of my ability. So help me God.
