2.36.010 Organizational Chart.

The following organizational chart for the Yakima County department of public works is adopted.

2.36.020 Complaints.

The complaints received by the board of county commissioners involving road problems, which are referred to the county engineer’s office shall be recorded and a written response given the commissioner who received the complaint.

All other complaints received by the county engineer’s office shall be referred to the individuals responsible for the area of work in which the complaint falls, and in most cases a record made of the complaint and action taken.

2.36.030 Work Performed for Public Agencies – Intent.

All work performed by Yakima County department of public works for other public agencies will follow the intent of WAC 136-32 as now written or hereinafter amended.

2.36.040 Work Performed for Public Agencies – Request – Form.

The county engineer shall prepare the necessary agreements and request forms so that the public agencies can request reimbursable work to be performed by the department of public works.

2.36.050 Work Performed for Public Agencies – Request – Minor – Approval Authority.

The county engineer is authorized to approve minor requests from the various county departments up to a maximum of one thousand dollars per project or one thousand dollars per month for regular monthly services.

2.36.060 Work Performed for Public Agencies – Request – Diking, Drainage Improvement Districts – Approval Authority.

The county engineer is authorized to approve requests from diking and drainage improvement districts to perform work.

2.36.070 Work Performed for Public Agencies – Request – Approval Authority Generally.

All other requests for work received from agencies not specified in Sections 2.36.050 and 2.36.060 must be in accordance with the individual written agreements between the public agency and the board of county commissioners.

2.36.080 Work Performed for Public Agencies – Request – Refusal When.

The county engineer may refuse work requests from public agencies if the requested work interferes with the necessary operation of the department of public works and such request shall not be in conflict with regulations and state laws pertaining to departments of public works.

2.36.090 Work Performed for Public Agencies – Accounting – Bill Submittal.

The county engineer shall keep adequate accounting of all work for public agencies and submit bills for reimbursement.
