2.44.010 Designated.

The holidays of the city of Kerman are as follows:

A. New Year’s Day, January 1st;

B. Washington’s Birthday, third Monday in February;

C. Memorial Day, last Monday in May;

D. Independence Day, July 4th;

E. Labor Day, first Monday in September;

F. Veterans Day, November 11th;

G. Thanksgiving Day, fourth Thursday in November;

H. Christmas Day, December 25th;

I. Every day appointed by the President or Governor for a public fast, thanksgiving or holiday; provided, that day is also proclaimed for a public fast, thanksgiving, or holiday by the mayor.  (Ord. 79-6 §4(A), 1979).

2.44.020 Closure of public officers.

The public offices of the city shall be closed on all of those holidays enumerated in Section 2.44.010 and shall be closed on Saturday and Sunday of every week.  (Ord. 79-6 §4(B), 1979).
