15.08.010 General.

A. Issuance. Any permits issued under authority of this title shall be nontransferable and non-assignable. Permits may be issued for building or for such other purposes as are covered by said title, either individually or as a single permit. Where issued as a single permit, the fees shall be a combination of those provided for herein and such other provisions of this title as shall be applicable. When issued individually, there shall be a minimum fee for each permit.

B. Refunds. Fees, other than processing fees, for permits issued pursuant to this title may be refundable pursuant to Section 109.6 of the 2012 International Building Code. (Ord. C-800 § 33, 2013)

15.08.020 Building permit fees.

A. Building Permit Fees. Fees for building permits issued pursuant to AHMC 15.01.030(A) and (B) shall be based on valuation of the project. Valuation and permit fees shall be determined by the most recent City resolution.

B. Phased Approval. The fee for a phased approval permit granted pursuant to AHMC 15.03.030(A) shall be determined by the most recent City resolution and shall be an additional charge.

C. Change of Use. The fee for each change of use issued pursuant to AHMC 15.03.030(B) shall be determined by the most recent City resolution.

D. Demolition Permit. The fee for a demolition permit issued pursuant to AHMC 15.03.030(C) shall be determined by the most recent City resolution.

E. Grading Permit. The fees for grading permits and plan review shall be determined by the most recent City resolution.

F. Temporary Certificate of Occupancy. The fees for a temporary certificate of occupancy shall be determined by the most recent City resolution. (Ord. C-800 § 34, 2013)

15.08.030 Mechanical permits.

The fees for mechanical permits issued pursuant to AHMC 15.01.030(C) shall be determined by the most recent City resolution. (Ord. C-800 § 35, 2013)

15.08.040 Plumbing permits.

The fees for plumbing permits issued pursuant to AHMC 15.01.030(E) shall be determined by the most recent City resolution. (Ord. C-800 § 36, 2013)

15.08.050 Fire prevention fees.

The fees for fire permits issued pursuant to AHMC 15.01.030(D) shall be determined by the most recent City resolution. (Ord. C-800 § 37, 2013)

15.08.060 Miscellaneous permits – General.

The fees for the miscellaneous permits specified below shall be determined by the most recent City resolution.

A. Relocated Structures. The permit fee for relocated structures issued pursuant to Chapter 15.09 AHMC shall be charged for the following:

1. For the inspection of the building or structure to be moved, a nonrefundable inspection fee shall be submitted at the time of application.

2. For any repair, alteration, remodel or foundation work, fees shall be calculated on total valuation of the work to be performed.

B. Temporary Structures. Fees for permits for temporary buildings and structures issued pursuant to Chapter 15.09 AHMC shall be charged based on the valuation of the project.

C. Swimming Pools. Fees for swimming pool permits issued pursuant to AHMC 15.01.030(B) shall be required.

D. Manufactured (Mobile) Homes and Modular/Prefabricated Structures. Fees for manufactured (mobile) homes and modular/prefabricated structures issued pursuant to Chapter 15.11 AHMC shall be required. This fee includes footings and anchors for the respective structure. Fees for concrete foundations or basements under a modular/prefabricated structure or manufactured (mobile) home shall be calculated as any other building permit.

E. Signs. Fees for signs issued pursuant to AHMC 15.01.030(A) and Chapter 17.23 AHMC shall be required.

F. Environmental Checklists. Fees for processing an environmental checklist as required by AHMC Title 18 shall be required.

G. Inspection Fees. Fees for miscellaneous inspections shall be as follows:

1. All inspections outside of normal business hours: a minimum charge of two hours shall apply.

2. Re-inspections during normal business hours: a minimum charge of one hour shall apply.

3. Inspections for which no fee is specifically indicated: a minimum charge of one hour shall apply.

H. Plan Review Fees. Additional plan review required by changes, additions, alterations, or revisions to approved plans, a minimum charge of one hour shall apply.

I. Fireworks Licenses and Permits. The fees for permits and licenses issued pursuant to Chapter 8.12 AHMC referenced as Chapter 15.12 AHMC shall be as follows: manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and exporters and public display of fireworks: based per each display or per stand erected.

J. Fees for Services Not Otherwise Specified. A minimum charge of one-half hour shall apply.

K. Construction Offices. Where multiple temporary buildings ancillary to a building site are installed, the minimum building permit fee established by this title may be charged for each building to offset costs incurred for site plan review when deemed necessary by the Building Official due to the size, number or configuration of the buildings involved.
