AIRPORT FUNDS*

3.12.010 Acceptance of funds authorized.

The city clerk-treasurer is authorized to accept, to the maximum extent permissible by law, gifts, grants, bequests and funds from any source whatsoever for deposit in that certain account previously established within the accounting system of the city for the deposit and accounting of funds obtained from private sources for utilization solely in the improving, planning, operating and maintaining of the Elma Airport. (Ord. 589 §1, 1976).

3.12.020 Deposit.

The funds received as provided in Section 3.12.010 shall be deposited in that certain checking account currently in existence in Rainier National Bank, Elma Branch, which is maintain for the sole purpose of holding funds which have been given to the city for similar purposes at times previous. (Ord. 589 §2, 1976).

3.12.030 Authority to continue--Stipulations of provider to be honored--Transfer to current expense fund.

A.    So long as the city operates the Elma Municipal Airport, the authority to accept funds from the sources specified in Section 3.12.010 shall continue in full force and effect, and-the limitation imposed by the provider of the particular monies in relation to utilization only for purposes relating to the Elma Municipal Airport shall be honored to the maximum extent allowed by law.

B.    In the event the city ceases the operation of or involvement in the operation of the Elma Municipal Airport, the monies then remaining in the account here in question shall be transferred to the current expense fund of the city. (Ord. 589 §3, 1976).

3.12.040 Request for payment.

Requests for payment from the account referred to in Section 3.12.010 shall be handled in the same manner as other claims against the city. (Ord. 589 §4, 1976).
